WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF EYELASH EXTENSION

Aim of the Championship is to define the best of the best masters of eyelash extension at the independent platform of the International Festival, creating perfect conditions of contest and a chance of professional growth and experience exchange.

The Championship is open, so masters can take part in it, regardless their citizenship and residence (country).

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND USE OF PERSONAL ACCOUNT

To register, you must:
1. Submit an application on the site by filling out all the necessary fields, attaching a personal photo and a photo of a diploma (certificate) confirming specialization (category).
* If you have previously been registered on the site - enter your personal account, then apply for participation.
2. Make payment for participation in the selected nomination within 2 weeks after registration of the application.
* A prerequisite is full payment for participation in the Championship.
After payment, each participant receives an e-mail ticket with a QR code. Also, a ticket can be downloaded in your account on the website.

Functions of your personal account:
Each user creates a personal account when applying for participation. If the participant was registered earlier or participated in the Festival championships in the past, he already has a personal account. Login to your personal account by entering the phone number and password (password comes to the phone number specified during registration).

In your account you can:
• change your personal photo and information about yourself;
• add or remove a nomination (until payment);
• make a payment;
• register the model (if applicable);
• download an electronic ticket;
• see an evaluation sheet of your work.

RULES OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP

ONE PARTICIPANT MAY TAKE PART ONLY IN ONE NOMINATION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THIS CHAMPIONSHIP!

1. A participant and a model should appear at the Championship a one hour before the right start for registering.

2.At registration, the participant receives a badge and a participant package. When registering, a bracelet with a QR-code for refereeing is put on the models (STRICTLY FORBIDDEN: remove, wet, damage the bracelet with the QR-code, before the results of refereeing are announced !!!)

3. Participants from Ukraine should have their models, foreigners are provided with the ones.

4. Before the start of the Championship the participants can take their places and get prepared for the contest work: put all the necessary materials on the table and arrange the workplace.

5. The grade of materials and the bending of the artificial eyelashes are chosen at the discretion of the participant.

6. Black eyelashes of different saturation and all shades of brown (from dark to light) are allowed.

7. Glue for lashes should be black, and the consistence and depth of color is up to the participant.

8. The maximum length for building is 11 mm.

It is forbidden to use:

- transparent glue;

- false and/or bunch lashes;

- lashes for extension, which are 0,20 mm and 0,15 mm thick and less than 0.07 mm.

9. Work is done in the contest area (lashes are extended for the both eyes).

10. Techniques to fulfill the contest work are up to the master. Mandatory decent study.

11. When refereeing, it is necessary to provide Lash Check, which will display the extension scheme on the model with a mix of lengths, thicknesses, bends and colors. Lash Chek can be prepared in advance or filled in the competition field before the completion of the competitive task.

12. During the contest work master and models cannot speak loudly, leave their workplaces, eat, use the mobile devices or any other means of communication.

13. If a problem appears the participants can ask only the technical judges of the Championship.

14. After a signal of end of the contest time, all the participants must finish their work and put away the instruments.

15. After a signal of end of the contest time all the participants stop their work. Models go to the area of judging. Masters clean off the workplaces and leave the Championship area. If a master takes part in the next nomination he/she can prepare one’s workplace.

16. The participant is entitled to disqualify the organizers, members of the panel of judges (majority decision).

A participant may be disqualified in the following cases:

- incorrect behavior in the competition zone or in the refereeing zone;
- continued work after the final gong;
- exit without permission from the zone during the competition;
- the use of prohibited materials or tools.

17. Uniform for participants: white pants and white shoes, T-shirts will be issued to participants upon registration at the championship venue.

Championship Nominations

CLASSIC EXTENSION. MASTER

Master's experience from 1 to 3 years.

Contest work:

A participant must do a classic extension of false lashes on the natural ones (one false eyelash is put on a natural one, working on a whole lash row).

Assessment criteria:

common impression;
presence of glued together eyelashes;
accuracy of work;
surface of lashes connection;
indent;
direction of extended lashes;
smooth transitions;
modeling a glance effect;
length, thickness, color;
symmetry;
filling;
working on the inner/outer corners of eyes;
complexity.

Penalty points:

trimmed eyelashes (max -2 b);

reddening of the eyelid during operation (max -2 b);
dirty eyelid (makeup) (max -2 b).

Master's experience from 1 to 3 years.

Contest work:

A participant must do an extension of false lashes in “2-3D volume” technique on the natural ones (to form a bunch of two or three false lashes and extend one bunch on one natural eyelash, working on a whole lash row).

Assessment criteria:

common impression;
presence of glued together eyelashes;
accuracy of work;
surface of lashes connection;
indent;
direction of extended lashes;
smooth transitions;
modeling a glance effect;
length, thickness, color;
symmetry;
filling;
working on the inner/outer corners of eyes;
complexity;
degree of bunch opening.

trimmed eyelashes (max -2 b);
reddening of the eyelid during operation (max -2 b);
dirty eyelid (makeup) (max -2 b).

EYELASH LAMINATION. OPEN CATEGORY

Contest work: Perform lamination of the natural eyelashes.

Requirements:

1. Lamination of the eyelashes should be performed in the competition area on both eyes of the model.

2. Brand and characteristics of the materials for work can be selected at discretion of the participant.

3. Similar procedures are allowed: bio-waving, Velvet, eyelashes botox.

4. Use of the false eyelashes is prohibited.

5. Full or partial lamination of eyelashes outside the competition area is prohibited.

6. Before performing the procedure, all models should pass the Lash-Check (assessment of the initial state of the eyelashes).

Lash Check Criteria:

1. Direction of growth. The lower the direction of growth, the higher the score. (max 2 points)

2. Curve. The straighter the eyelashes, the higher the score. (max 2 points)

3. Length. The longer the eyelashes, the higher the score. (max 2 points)

4. Thickness. The thicker the eyelashes, the higher the score (max 2 points)

5. Color. The lighter the eyelashes, the higher the score. (max 2 points)

Evaluation Criteria:

1. General impression. Beauty, aesthetics and elegance of the work performed are evaluated. (max 10 points)

2. Neatness of work. The absence of traces of glue, paint and other products on the eyelashes, skin, eyelids, in the inter-eyelashes space and on the mucosa is evaluated. (max 10 points)

3. Curve of the eyelashes. The correct choice of the eyelash curve is evaluated. Lack of sagging and protruding eyelashes. The eyelashes should lie in one plane. (max 10 points)

4. Symmetry of the eyelashes. The symmetry of curves on both eyelids is evaluated (max 10 points)

5. Direction of the eyelashes. Parallelness of the eyelash growth relative to each other is evaluated (max 10 points)

6. Fluffiness. The eyelashes should not be glued together (max 10 points)

7. Coloring. Selection of color and uniformity of the eyelash tinting is evaluated. (max 10 points)

The maximum number of points is 70.

Penalty points (max -20 points):

- creases and curved tips (max -5 points);

- redness of the eyes (max -5 points);

- missed eyelashes (max -5 points);

- broken off eyelashes (max -5 points).

DEMANDS TO THE MODELS

1. For the nomination “Classic eyelash extension” and “2-3D volume”, models with thick eyelashes or with medium eyelashes are welcome.

2. The age of the model is from 18 to 35 years.

3. The complete absence of eyelid makeup (arrows, shadows, pencil in the ciliary zone, the absence of permanent eyelid makeup).

4. Participants from Ukraine provide themselves with models on their own, models are provided to foreign participants.

5. The Organizing Committee does not provide accommodation for competitors and models for the duration of the Championship.

6. The foreign participant undertakes to provide himself with a translator on his own.

7. During the competition, the hair of the model should be removed under a hat or bandage.

8. Not allowed to trim or partial removal of eyelashes.

9. During the competition and during the refereeing, the model does not have the right to leave the competition area.

10. Models are prohibited from giving the judges the name of the master.

11. The model after the judges' grades must be photographed.

EQUIPMENT OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Organizers of the Championship provide with:

couch;
master’s work chair;
table for materials;
magnifying lens;
electric outlet;
disposable sheet;
shoe covers for the models;
cape.

Masters must have all the necessary materials for a contest work (eyelashes, glue, patches, instruments).

DETERMINING THE WINNERS

JUDGING

The judging will be held electronically on gadgets with instant grading from judges on screens and with the ability to print an evaluation sheet at the end of the judging.

Each work the judges rate by the special scale, by the noted above assessment criteria.

A decision of judges is final.

WINNERS

Winners of the Championship are those, who scored the highest rating.

By the number of scored points will be the winning I, II and III places taken.

AWARDING

Winners will get the gifts, diplomas and trophies.

Rewarding will take place on the day of the championship after the end of refereeing.

All the participants will receive the Cerificates of participation in the World Championship of Eyelash Extension.
